Gallery Space

We are working on our gallery space. We are painting out the room today and need to get some shelving. We have new lights and the space should really benefit. I have to paint the floor too. I will get some photos once it is complete.

Dale

I just thought I would remind everyone to drop by the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and check out the Dale Chihuly exhibit. This is one that that has set OKC on the road to being one of the most excellent cities in America. We are striving to become something greater and we are completing tasks of a magnatude that is unmatched elsewhere. I really do love looking at the glass. The colors and forms and the lighting wow. They have done a most excellent job over at the museum. I like that word too. Museum. The Muse. Inspiration.

Changes

Well, we working diligently over the weekend on the studio. Things look mighty different now. We have the welding shed up. We took down the glass wall. We started moving things around. It is a completely different place. Over the next month more changes will be taking place but this weekend set the tone for things to come. Hopefully, pictures will be coming soon.
Thank you to everyone who has read about us in the Edmond Outlook. What a wonderful oppertunity.
Keep it centered.

Furnace Going Up

Brent changed out the coils last night and the furnace is getting hot again. Hopefully all will go well and we will have hot glass soon.
We started building out addition. We will have a welding shop attached to the barn. This is really going to open the space and allow more room for storage as well as a place to weld and create. I think the roof and sides will go up this weekend and a new garage door next week. Wiring and lighting are on the agenda too.
Great Progress is being made. I will try to get photos taken next week so everyone can see our progress.

Furnace Down Again

We have lost a coil in the furnace. It is going to take a day or two to cool and then we will have to change out the coils for a new set. I can hardly wait for a new furnace. It never breaks at a good time anyway. But then there is really never a good time.
Keep it hot.

Working for the Weekend

It was a nice weekend. I began my first OKCMOA glassblowing class of the Fall on Saturday it should be a great class. I am really looking forward to it over the next four weeks. I still have an open spot in this class. If you are interested in taking a glassblowing class you need to contact Chandra Boyd at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and get enrolled. Brent starts a class on Wednesday.
Thank you to all our guests this weekend. We had several people stop by on Saturday. It is always a delight to have people come in and watch the glassblowing process. You can always pick out your colors, choose a shape and we will custom make an item of your choosing.
Keep it centered.
