Grant came to the studio on Sunday to make a heart. Grant along with Roy and Scott and myself we made a blue heart with a cranberry rose. It is a truly lovely piece. Grant did a great job.

The Annealher

The big annealher is up and running. We got it up to 920 degrees last night and burnt in the bricks. I will give it another test run tonight and it should be ready to go on Friday for the Open House.

A History

Knowing we would need more space for bigger items, Brent started the big annealher about 5 years ago. He framed it out and got it welded together. Not too long after we had to leave the old studio location in the barn. The Annealher made the move and found a nice corner in the studio. Over the course of a year we added some door stops and welding and whatnots with Richard leading the charge. Roy bricked it up. Elements were ordered. My brother Zack would work on the box every visit in town. Electricity was rerun. We hade wired to 70 amps and had to switch up to 100 amp service. Electictiy was fixed. Denny and Lou cam in and fixed the controller and wireing to get it ready. With the help of everyone nearly three years after the move the big annealher is up and running.

Updates

I have implemented the Blogger in Draft in order to add some more functionality to the blog. You may notice some link tabs near the top of the page linking to pages with more information about Blue Sage Studios and what we do. I am trying to get everything back in good order. If you have any suggestions for something you would like to see on the page let me know.

The Week Ahead

I was trying to figure out why I did not post the Week Ahead. We were in the studio on Monday instead of school.

I did add the Google Calendar to the main website. http://www.bluesagestudios.com at the very bottom of the page. I am keeping up with the calendar and it is good to have it posted. Folks wondering what time/day they are scheduled for can find it easily and folks wanting to come in to watch us work can find a good time to do so.

Rivers Edge Countertops

We have teamed up with River's Edge Countertops to provide with with our left over glass bits. They are a local company making counter tops from concrete and glass. This gives us a good opportunity to recycle a big part of our "trash".
